Brown-286 Reopened Following Culvert Replacement

Chillicothe (Tuesday, July 31, 2018) – State Route 286 in Brown County has been reopened between U.S. 68 at Five Mile and U.S. 50 at Marathon today, July 31, following its closure for a culvert replacement project.

The route was closed Monday, July 23, for crews from the Brown County Maintenance Facility to install a 4x8-foot concrete box culvert near the three-mile marker, between C.R. 311 (Gauche Road) and C.R. 104 (Upper Five Mile West Road).

Working to expedite the project, the crews have reopened S.R. 286 three days ahead of the scheduled August 3 completion.
