ODOT TO AUCTION PRIME COMMERCIAL PROPERTY NEAR INTERSTATE 75 IN LIMA
Commercial lot to be sold at public auction on Aug. 22
LIMA, Ohio (July 30, 2018) – The Ohio
Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 1 will sell a property with the
opportunity for commercial growth near Interstate 75 in Lima in an upcoming
public auction.
The auction will be held Aug. 22 at 10
a.m. at the ODOT District 1 headquarters, Room 39. The district office is
located at 1885 N. McCullough Street in Lima, near the Dana and Ford
manufacturing plants.
The 2.598-acre vacant parcel is located
at the intersection of state Route 117 (Bellefontaine Avenue) and Greely Chapel
Road on the east side of Lima, just one-fourth of a mile from I-75. The lot is
zoned for general business use, and all utilities are available at the lot.
The property is an excess parcel and is
not needed for future highway right of way purposes. The property is being
offered at public auction because of the opportunity it provides for
development.
“This is a high-visibility, shovel-ready
site in the heart of a commercial destination,” said Shell Miller, real estate
administrator at ODOT District 1. “It’s a prime location, surrounded by all the
big names that draw traffic from state Route 117, state route 309 and
Interstate 75.”
