S.R. 770 Reopened To Traffic Ahead Of Schedule

Chillicothe (Friday, June 8, 2018) – Well in advance of its anticipated four-day closure, state Route 770 in Adams County has been reopened to traffic.

S.R. 770 was closed between T.R. 435 (Harry Williamson Road) and C.R. 99 (Big Woods Road) for crews to make repairs to culvert in advance of a liner installation project at the route's 5.05-mile marker. Although the route was scheduled to be closed through Monday, June 11, the crews were able to expedite their efforts and reopen the route to traffic today, June 8.

Construction will continue to install the liner, and during the remainder of the project, which is anticipated to take two weeks to complete, traffic will be maintained with flaggers as needed.

In a separate project, S.R. 770 is reduced to one lane near C.R. 14 (Tranquility Pike), approximately two miles east of S.R. 247 at Seaman, for an emergency slip repair.

Traffic at this location is being maintained by temporary signals, and all work is anticipated to be completed in mid-summer.
