ODOT District 3 Weekly Construction
Report
For the Week of May
28
There will be no new work impacting
traffic through the Memorial Day weekend. ODOT works with its contractors to
reduce the size of work zones and open as many lanes as possible. All work will resume Tuesday, May 29.
ASHLAND COUNTY
 State
Route 39 SR 39, east of Wally Rd.
over Black Fork of the Mohican River, will have signalized, single lane
closures to maintain traffic for a bridge replacement. Crews are working on the
eastbound side of the bridge. All traffic has been shifted to the westbound
lane. The project is expected to be
complete June 2018.

US
Route 30 US 30, from SR 511 to
SR 60, will have single lane closures as crews continue pavement repairs. The
project will utilize speed limit signs to reduce the speed and maintain the
flow of traffic. The reduced speed limit when workers are present will be 50
mph; the posted speed limit when crews are NOT working will be 60 mph. The
project is expected to be complete July 2018. |

Interstate
71 I-71, from US 250 to
the Wayne County line, will have intermittent single lane closures as crews
begin work as part of a resurfacing project. Crews will begin paving southbound in the farthest pasting lane.
This work will be performed during night time hours. Nightly pavement repairs
will take place from 8pm-7am. Double lane closures at night have gone into
effect leaving one lane of traffic open in both directions. The project will utilize digital
speed limit signs to maintain traffic flow. The posted speed limit when crews
are NOT working will be 65 mph; the reduced speed limit when workers are
present will be 55mph. The project is expected to be
complete May 2018. |
Township
Road 653 TR 653, between US 250
and TR 685, will close Wednesday, May 30 for bridge repairs. The detour route
for northbound motorists is to take US 250 east to TR 593, north on TR 593 to
TR 1302, west to TR 1302 back to TR 653, and reverse for southbound motorists.
The project is expected to be complete September 2018.
Goon
Rd. (CR 3006) Goon Rd., along with other
roadways within Mohican State Park, will have intermittent lane closures as
part of a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Notices
of roadwork are marked along State Park roads. The project is expected to be
complete August 2018.
