Comment Period Open For S.R. 73 Widening Project
Chillicothe (Thursday, May 17, 2018) – As part of the Ohio Department of
Transportation – District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s Environmental
Office is seeking public input for a minor widening project in Adams County.
ADA-73-10.43 (PID: 101808)
– The proposed project is to widen the north side of the route by
adding standard shoulders and extending the existing culverts along state Route
73, between its intersection with S.R. 32 and County Road 18 (Jaybird Road). Construction
will require approximately 5.752 acres of permanent right of way; however, no
homes or businesses will be removed as a result of the project.
A contract is scheduled
to be awarded in the summer of 2019, and although a full closure of the route is
not anticipated, short-term, intermittent periods of closure and lane
restrictions may be in effect during some phases of construction.
