U.S. 50 To Be Closed Temporarily Tomorrow
As part of an ongoing bridge replacement project between T.R. 122A (Spickard Road) and C.R. 6 (Danville Pike), U.S. Route 50 in Highland County will be subject to a temporary closure on Wednesday, April 25.
At any time between approximately noon and 2 p.m., U.S. 50 will be closed for up to 30 minutes while crews from a local utility company move lines across the roadway. As this will only be a short-term closure, there will be no posted detour; however, motorists may want to seek alternate routes to avoid delay.
Currently, the route is reduced to one, 10-foot lane approximately six miles west of Hillsboro and near the community of Fairview, and throughout construction, traffic will be maintained with temporary signals.
The project is scheduled to be completed in early fall.
