Weekend Closure of I-77 between I-480 and I-490

Garfield Heights (Monday, March 5, 2018) - Demolition operations on the Broadway Avenue bridge over I-77 will close I-77 north and southbound between I-480 and I-490 starting Friday, March 9 at 8 p.m. through 6 a.m. Monday, March 12. 

The following closures will be implemented in order to accommodate the overhead bridge work:

  • I-77 north at I-480
  • I-77 south at I-490
  • I-480 east and west ramps to I-77 north
  • I-490 east and west ramps to I-77 south

All traffic will be detoured via I-490, SR 176 and I-480.  The entrance and exit ramps along I-77 north and south between I-480 and I-490 will remain open, however northbound traffic will be directed to exit at Pershing Ave.

Weather permitting, the weekend of March 23 the closure of I-77 will occur again for additional demolition operations. Stay tuned for updates.
