ODOT District 2 to Host Winter Seasonal Career Fairs

Interested CDL drivers encouraged to apply online in advance

BOWLING GREEN (Thursday, September 27, 2018) - The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 2 is in search of seasonal employees for the upcoming winter season and will host three regional winter seasonal career fairs in October.

Career fair attendees will be able to apply for a winter seasonal position, have a driving record check completed, take a required physical abilities test and interview for the position.

Plowing snow is the primary job responsibility for winter seasonal positions. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent; a valid class A or B commercial driver’s license (CDL), without air brake restriction; and three months of training or experience in basic equipment operation.

A total of 37 positions are available in Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Williams, and Wood counties. Those interested in the career fair are encouraged to apply in advance at careers.ohio.gov. Filter by "Organization", and select "Transportation - District 02".
