Overnight closures on I-75, Bluffton
LIMA (June 14, 2017) – A project to
replace the bridge deck on the Bentley Road bridge over I-75, Bluffton, will
require two overnight closures of I-75 this week.
I-75 northbound under the Bentley Road
overpass will close overnight Thursday, June 15, from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. for the
removal of the bridge deck and parapet walls over northbound travel lanes.
Through traffic will be maintained
utilizing the I-75 exit and entrance ramps at Bentley Road (exit 140). Northbound
motorists must exit I-75 at Bentley Road, then re-enter I-75 from Bentley Road.
Left turns onto Bentley Road from I-75 northbound will still be prohibited due
to construction.
I-75 southbound under the Bentley Road
overpass will close overnight Friday, June 16, from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. for
the removal of the bridge deck and parapet walls over southbound travel lanes.
When the main travel lanes close, the
southbound exit and entrance ramps at Bentley Road (exit 140) will be opened to
carry through traffic. Southbound motorists must exit I-75 at Bentley Road,
then re-enter I-75 from Bentley Road. Left and right turns onto Bentley Road from I-75 southbound will still be prohibited due to construction. When the main travel lanes are reopened, the
southbound exit and entrance ramps at Bentley Road will close again.
