ATTENTION US 23 DRIVERS ON THE NORTH SIDE
COLUMBUS - Starting tomorrow morning, both directions of US 23 traffic accessing I-270 west will notice a new traffic pattern.
US 23 north drivers will be on a new ramp to I-270 west that will go under a new bridge before joining US 23 south traffic on the temporary ramp to I-270 west or SR 315. Since both directions of US 23 will now be using this ramp, US 23 south will now have to YIELD to US 23 north traffic at the merge point.
In order for crews to open the new ramp, traffic will be impacted overnight. Here's what you can expect tonight, Monday June 12:
I-270 between US 23 and SR 315
-
7 PM: I-270 west will be reduced to three lanes
-
8 PM: Ramp from US 23 north to I-270 west closes
Detour: US 23 north to I-270 east to Cleveland Avenue to I-270 west
-
9 PM: I-270 west will be reduced to two lanes
-
11 PM: Ramp from US 23 south to I-270 west/SR 315 closes
Detour: US 23 south to SR 161 west to SR 315 north
-
5 AM: All lanes and ramps open in their new configuration
The graphic below illustrates how to navigate these changes.
