TourismOhio Releases 2025 Ohio Summer Events Guide
440 Unforgettable Summer Adventures Featured Across Ohio
(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – School’s out. Sunscreen’s on. And Ohio’s biggest summer events are getting started. Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of the summer travel season—and TourismOhio is making it easier than ever to plan your adventures with the release of the 2025 Ohio Summer Events Guide.
Now available at Ohio.org, the guide features five hand-picked events from all 88 counties—that’s 440 summer celebrations waiting to be explored. From small-town favorites to big-time festivals, the events guide is organized by month and region, making it easy to find something for the entire family.
Unveiled earlier this month at Ohio Tourism Day, the Summer Events Guide helps kick off a season full of outdoor concerts, county fairs, quirky traditions, and unforgettable moments in the Heart of It All.
“From parades down Main Street to county fairs glowing under the midway lights—Ohio’s summer traditions bring people together in unforgettable ways,” said Lydia Mihalik, director of the Ohio Department of Development, which oversees TourismOhio. “The events featured in the Ohio Summer Events Guide showcase the heart of our communities—welcoming visitors, supporting small businesses, and reminding us why we’re proud to call Ohio home.”
The cover of this season’s guide features two young girls enjoying the Knox County Fair in Mount Vernon, a central region highlight happening July 19–26.
TourismOhio partners with county visitors bureaus across the state to curate a guide that highlights the wide variety of events happening each summer. This summer’s lineup includes time-honored traditions like the 157th Ironton-Lawrence County Memorial Day Parade and the 179th Trumbull County Fair, along with newer events such as the Lavender Daze Festival in Marengo and the Voices of America Country Music Fest in West Chester, now both in their third year.
“We teamed up with our local partners to get the inside scoop on what’s happening in every corner of Ohio,” said State Tourism Director Sarah Wickham. “No matter how far you want to wander, this guide is your go-to for discovering new spots, making memories, and finding out why Ohio really is the heart of it all.”
