Dear Directors and Administrators,
The Department of Children and Youth (DCY) will be transitioning to a continuous certification process for public and private agencies (operating residential care, independent living arrangements, recommending foster homes and approving adoption homes), certified foster homes, and approved adoption homes on January 1, 2025. Recently posted transmittal letters detailing all the upcoming policy changes can be viewed below.
DCY has revised OAC 5101:2-5-09.1, details regarding these changes can be found in the transmittal letter linked below.
