Share Your Head Start Story!
The Ohio Head Start Association, Inc. (OHSAI) is collecting stories to prepare for Head Start Awareness Month, celebrated in October, and beyond.
Your story will help legislators, policymakers, stakeholders, and the community understand why Head Start is vital to the community and important to families like you. Data and statistics are wonderful tools to share, but stories are where the magic happens when talking to legislators. They understand the funding they support makes a difference in their district. Lives are changes forever.
Ideas to consider when telling your story:
- How did you hear about Head Start/EHS?
- How many children went through the program?
- How HS/EHS has benefitted your child(ren)
- Because of Head Start/Early Head Start my child(ren) are now able to do…..
- Because of Head Start/Early Head Start I am now……
- Because of Head Start/Early Head Start my family is now……
Download the flyer to spread the word of Head Start!
|
They want to hear your stories about how Head Start has impacted YOU. The stories received will help OHSAI continue to spread awareness about all of the great things Head Start does.
Whether you're a Head Start parent or family member, teacher or other staff member, or a Head Start graduate yourself, your story is powerful.
All stories submitted by September 30 will be entered into a random drawing for a $100 Amazon e-Gift card! Click this link to submit your story.
