Prepare for Benefits Open Enrollment, May 16-29

In preparation for Benefits Open Enrollment, Thursday May 16 through Wednesday, May 29, log into myOhio.gov to check your contact information, check your benefits, add or remove dependents, and indicate your benefits communication preference.

Take the following actions in myOhio.gov:

• Verify your physical home address is accurate (required). Go to My Workspace > myInfo > Home and Mailing Address.
• Update personal email(s) and mobile phone number(s) for benefits communications. Go to My Workspace > myInfo > Phone and Email Addresses.
• Review your current benefits enrollment information for yourself and any dependents. Go to My Workspace > myBenefits > Benefits Summary.
• Helpful tips: Review your medical claims from the past year(s) and consider anticipated health care claims for the coming year. Use this data to help determine the medical plan option that's best for you:
  • Ohio Med PPO: Has a higher premium; out-of-network coverage option; can use with a flexible spending account.
  • Ohio Med NN: Has a lower premium; out-of-network coverage is only for emergencies; can use with a flexible spending account.
  • Ohio Med HDHP: Has a lower premium; has a higher deductible; includes a health savings account.
• Update your benefits communication preference to receive health benefits info via your personal email in addition to your work email and/or a hard copy. Go to My Workspace > MyInfo > Communication Preferences, then set your preference.
• If you need to add or remove dependents, refer to the Change in Status or Qualifying Events Matrix for eligibility criteria and documentation requirements at DAS.Ohio.gov/Benefits > About my Benefits > Eligibility and Enrollment.*

* Enrollment or continuation of enrollment of an ineligible dependent may result in loss of benefits, disciplinary action, and repayment of claims.
