There are some changes occurring to your Health Savings Account (HSA). The first is that Baker Tilly Vantagen is the new vendor for your HSA. Second, the employer contribution method is changing – it will be contributed to your account every pay period throughout the year.
As part of this transition, effective Dec. 17 Baker Tilly Vantagen will be taking over the responsibility of administering your per-pay HSA contribution elections. This means the HSA Deduction tab in OAKS self-service will no longer be available as of Dec. 16.
To change your 2024 HSA contribution amount, log in to myFlexDollars.com and create an account. Elections made by the end of the day on Dec. 28 will be included in the first paycheck in January. Please see the instructions below:
Step 1: On or after Dec. 17, go to myFlexDollars.com and register as a new user. Step 2: Click the Enroll/Change button to begin. Step 3: Click the Quick Change link on the top of the page. Step 4: Scroll down to Your HSA benefits and click Change to review/change your options. Step 5: Enter/Change the amount you would like to contribute then click the Save button. Step 6: Verify your elections and click the Submit These Elections button. Step 7: Your enrollment is complete – print or save a copy of your Confirmation Statement.
Details on the way in which your employer contributions will be sent to your HSA account: Instead of receiving the amount in two semi-annual payments in January and July, the prorated annual employer amounts will be distributed equally each pay period throughout the year.
Finally, Optum Financial will be transferring your existing funds to Baker Tilly Vantagen in mid-February 2024. You will still be able to access and use your current HSA account with Optum Financial through Jan. 31, 2024. The funds transferred from Optum will be available for use in your Baker Tilly Vantagen account by Feb. 26, 2024. You must opt in to participate in the group transfer and details will be forthcoming.
If you have any questions, please contact the Baker Tilly Vantagen Employee Benefits Center at 1-833-559-0002 or the state’s Employee Benefits Customer Service Team at 1-800-409-1205, option 2.
