Last month DAS joined Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted to announce that Ohio was a finalist for two State IT Recognition Awards that annually recognize the innovative use of information technology in State government and are sponsored by the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO).
State CIO Katrina Flory was on hand at last week’s NASCIO conference in Seattle for the announcement that Ohio won the cybersecurity category for its submission, OH|ID Next Brings Power to the People. OH|ID Next is the most recent iteration of enhancements to OH|ID that offer several new self-service tools and user account services. Ohio also was a finalist for Advancing Ohio Data Transparency and Access through the DataOhio Portal in the Digital Services: Government to Citizen category.

Help us honor Ohioans carrying on legacy of MLK
The Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission is accepting nominations for awards honoring Ohio individuals and organizations for their work to keep Dr. King’s dream alive and carry on his philosophy of nonviolent social and economic equity.
The Commission will recognize award winners at the 2022 Ohio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Celebration on Jan. 13.
Nominations submitted by Oct. 30 will be considered for this coming January’s event. For the nomination form and more information, visit the MLK Commission website.
