City of Columbus Public Service Changes for Juneteenth
No City Trash Collection on June 19; Recycling and Yard Waste Pickup Will Occur as Scheduled
Trash Collection:
City of Columbus trash collection service will not be provided on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.
For residents assigned a collection color, pickup will rotate forward by one day the week of the holiday:
Friday, June 19: NO COLLECTION
Monday, June 22: Pink
Tuesday, June 23: Ruby
Wednesday, June 24: Gold
Thursday, June 25: Gray
Friday, June 26 Navy
The color-coded collection schedule will rotate forward again on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.
For residents not assigned a collection color: If your collection day falls on or after the holiday, your trash pickup will be delayed by one day during the week of the holiday.
Recycling and Yard Waste Collection: The schedule for weekly recycling and biweekly yard waste collection is not affected by Juneteenth. Please set out recycling and yard waste for collection on Friday, June 19, if it is your scheduled day.

The Refuse Collection Waste and Reuse Convenience Centers, 2100 Alum Creek Dr. and 1550 Georgesville Rd., will be closed Friday, June 19, and will reopen Saturday, June 20, with normal hours of operation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Parking Kiosks and Meters: Parking at city kiosks and meters will not be enforced Friday, June 19. Parking restriction signage at some meters will be enforced, including but not limited to morning and evening rush hours and zones marked for valets, taxis, loading, handicapped-only and residential parking permit areas.
Offices Closed: Department offices, including the Parking Violations Bureau and the Right-of-Way Permits Office, will be closed Friday, June 19. Permits may be filed online at https://ca.columbus.gov/ca/.
