June 9  - CME Federal Credit Union Financial Wellness

CME Federal Credit Union has proudly served the City of Columbus for over 90 years. During this session, a CME certified financial counselor will share practical money management tips and provide an overview of Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). Get registered by June 8.

June 16  - Planning for Retirement - OPERS 

If you are nearing retirement and enrolled in the OPERS traditional pension plan, this is the perfect opportunity to ensure your financial ducks are in a row. This session covers how to earn service credit and become eligible for a pension benefit, deferred compensation, the OPERS Health Care program, and much more. Participants must be at least 12 months from retirement but within 5 years of retirement eligibility. Registration is open through June 16.

Invest in Your Health

  • Biometric screenings are available June 4 at 77 N. Front Street (8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) and June 15 at Columbus Public Health (7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.).
  • Starting June 2, OhioHealth Wellness Consultant Bre Newman is hosting a 4-week virtual healthy lifestyle program focused on posture, workplace ergonomics, and musculoskeletal health. Register today!
  • Make a difference for others by giving blood at Columbus Public Health on June 10 (10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.).
  • Stress reduction leads to better health outcomes. Join our Stress Relief Reiki Event on June 25 (12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.). Reiki participants must complete and submit a Bureau of Workers’ Compensation waiver.

Farmers Market

The EBW team closed May with a Farmers Market on May 29 at 77 N. Front Street. Thanks to all of the employees and partners who worked to make this event a huge success, and to City employees who took time to pick up some produce and get educated about health and wellness.
