April is Earth Month, and it’s the perfect time to give back to the environment right here in Columbus. One of the simplest ways to make a difference? Plant a tree!
Columbus needs more trees, and while our Forestry team planted 2,777 trees last year, expanding our tree canopy takes all of us. Trees help shade homes and streets, improve air quality, reduce flooding and even contribute to safer, healthier neighborhoods.
Ready to get started? Watch our quick how-to video on planting a tree, and explore the Urban Forestry Master Plan progress report to see how we’re growing Columbus’ canopy together.
