National Random Acts of Kindness Day is Tuesday, Feb. 17, and showing kindness to your community can be as simple as picking up a piece of trash.
As the snow begins to melt, litter becomes more visible in our neighborhoods and parks. Taking just a few minutes to clean up your block, trail or favorite green space makes an immediate impact. Small actions add up, and our environment benefits in a big way.
Want to take it a step further? Join one of our volunteer opportunities. Outdoor volunteer season runs April through October, and now is the perfect time to plan ahead. Prefer to stay warm? Indoor volunteer options are available throughout the winter.
With more than 400 parks across the city, volunteers play a vital role in keeping our spaces beautiful and welcoming for everyone.
