Columbus Recreation and Parks Department Invites Public to Attend Open Houses to Share Input for the Linden Green Line
COLUMBUS - Columbus residents will shape the vision and character of the future Linden Green Line project, which is a transformative 7-mile linear park and trail planned along a former railway corridor in the Linden and Northland neighborhoods.
Columbus Recreation and Parks Department is hosting two public open houses this month. Attendees will share ideas with project staff about what they would like to see and shape how the park will connect neighborhoods, support transportation and expand across to greenspace.
This free event doesn’t require registration, and light refreshments and children’s activities will be available so residents are encouraged to stop by with family, friends or neighbors. Residents only need to attend one of the two open houses.
About the Project
The Linden Green Line will transform a 7-mile abandoned rail corridor into a vibrant 58-acre linear park and trail, designed to enhance walking, biking, recreation, ecological connections and neighborhood access across the Linden and Northland communities. Once complete, the linear park is expected to connect neighbors to 3,000 businesses, 19 schools, four community centers and 10 parks. It’s also set to link more than 135 miles of regional trails.
