Autumn is arriving in Columbus, and the city’s parks and trails are slowly starting to burst with vibrant shades of red, orange and gold. It’s the perfect time to lace up your shoes, grab a friend and discover a new place to explore.
With more than 400 parks across the city, there’s always a scenic spot waiting for you. Enjoy a quiet stroll through your neighborhood park, take a weekend bike ride on one of Columbus’ many paved trails or plan a fall photo walk to capture the season’s beauty.

Something appetizing is coming to the Fran Ryan Center! The new Taste and See Café will soon open its doors, offering a warm and welcoming space for the community to gather and enjoy great food together.
During its soft launch, the café will feature a special “Taste of the Holiday Season” menu with favorites like roasted chicken, turkey or ham, creamy macaroni and cheese, green beans, sweet potatoes and more.
Located inside the Fran Ryan Center at 865 E. Capital Street, the café will soon become a neighborhood favorite for comfort food and community connection. Free parking is available. Watch for the official opening announcement—and come hungry!

It’s time to get creative—Session 6 class registration is almost here! Whether you’re a returning artist or new to the studio, now’s your chance to learn something new, sharpen your skills and connect with the creative community.

A quick note: This will be the final session at the Tyson Cultural Arts Center before it temporarily closes for renovations. The updates will bring exciting improvements to enhance the creative experience for artists of all levels. While the center is closed, most programs will continue at other locations, including the Fran Ryan Center, so you can keep creating all year long!

The Adopt a Center program brings warmth, care and community spirit to Columbus residents every holiday season. Through 28 community centers across the city, the program supports seniors, adults and children with essential items and holiday cheer.
During November and December, Adopt a Center provides hot meals, hygiene items, winter coats and clothing for families, along with toys to brighten the holidays for local kids.
There are three easy ways to support your neighborhood center, at whatever level you’re comfortable with:
