Bee the Change: Join the Pollinator Documentation Program

Get outside, and make a difference! Help us monitor and care for the 37 pollinator habitats across Columbus parks through our Pollinator Documentation Program. Volunteers collect valuable data on plant and pollinator species, as well as habitat maintenance needs, helping us plan for future improvements and expansions.

Choose how you get involved: Attend an in-person training on Thursday, June 5, from 6-7 p.m. at Mock Park, or virtual training, which is available from May through October for people on the go.

During training, you’ll learn how to document a fixed route, use the iNaturalist app and identify common pollinators. Sign up for the in-person training today, and start making an impact!

Looking to get in the water – but stay out of the sun? Stay active with summer classes at the Columbus Aquatics Center. Registration opens on Tuesday, May 27, at 12:30 p.m. The session runs June 9-Aug. 3.

Art in Action: Be Part of the Columbus Arts Festival Magic

Each year, thousands of visitors pass through the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center during the Columbus Arts Festival, experiencing the vibrant creativity that makes our city shine. This is your chance to help showcase this community gem while supporting the arts and our city.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers on June 7-8 to help with a variety of fun and important tasks, including volunteer check-in, a family-friendly scavenger hunt and helping guests stay cool and hydrated.

Sign up for a shift (or two!), then stick around and enjoy the festival. As a thank you, you’ll receive free parking at the Franklin County Garages, a volunteer T-shirt, and some food and drinks to keep you fueled for the fun.
