Exciting news! Columbus Recreation and Parks is expanding the Big Walnut Trail with a 3.5-mile section on the city’s southeast side, connecting Nafzger Park to East Main Street.
Have ideas? Join us for a public open house on Wednesday, March 12, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Far East Community Center, 1826 Lattimer Dr., 43227, to share your input and learn more. If you can't make it to the open house, you can share your thoughts by completing this online survey by April 11.

Theater Arts – Usher at Gem of the Ocean at the Columbus Performing Arts Center. You’ll assist with programs and concessions while enjoying a fantastic show! Available shifts include March 13, 6-10 p.m., March 14, 6-10 p.m., March 15, 6-10 p.m., March 16, 12:30- 4:30 p.m. and March 16, 4-7 p.m.

Conservation – Help keep Columbus parks beautiful! Remove invasive species and clean up at Nafzger Park on March 29 from 9 a.m.--noon, or take part in a meaningful and creative litter cleanup at McKnight Outdoor Education Center on April 5, from 10 a.m.–noon. Looking to make a long-term impact? Become a Conservation Steward and document species and conditions in our pollinator habitats throughout the season; sign up for training at Whetstone Park on March 31, April 8 at Dodge Community Center or April 10 at Retreat at Turnberry.

March Madness Events – Help create a fun, positive space for youth at our March Madness Program! You’ll assist with setup, food service, and activities like a video game tournament, arts and crafts, and a 360 photo booth! Join us on March 21 from 1–6 p.m. at Barack Community Center and March 26 from 1-5 p.m. at Barnett Community Center.
