Hoover Marina has achieved the prestigious Gold Tier certification from the Ohio Clean Marinas Program! This recognition, awarded by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, highlights marinas that adopt environmentally responsible practices to protect Ohio’s waterways.
The Ohio Clean Marinas Program is a proactive partnership encouraging marinas and boaters to implement innovative, sustainable solutions to maintain the cleanliness and health of Ohio’s coastal and inland waters.
Originally built in 1955 by the City of Columbus as a water supply facility, Hoover Reservoir has become a vital community resource. Jointly managed by Columbus Recreation and Parks and the Division of Water through the Columbus Department of Public Utilities, the reservoir and marina offer beautiful scenery and recreational opportunities.

Join us throughout 2025 for free monthly Try It events hosted by Therapeutic Recreation, where you can explore and experience a variety of adaptive sports programs.
This February, we’re spotlighting Boccia! The Try It event will take place on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 1-3 p.m. at Dodge Community Center, located at 667 Sullivant Ave., 43215. This session is a perfect opportunity to learn the basics of boccia and give it a try in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes and bring a water bottle.
