Two new thought-provoking exhibits at the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center invite you to explore themes of home, resilience and craftsmanship. The Main Gallery features Habitat, a unique two-artist exhibition by Nicki Crock and Christopher Burk that explores themes of home and environment. Nicki presents her impressive large-scale sculpture, Packed, while Christopher showcases pieces from his Flooded House Series, inspired by contemporary media and news imagery. In the Loft Gallery, Cold Connections: Art from the Metal Smith & Enamel Studios features stunning jewelry and sculpture crafted by students from the Metal Smith & Enamel Studios. Created using “cold connections”—techniques that require no soldering—their pieces reveal the innovative possibilities of this specialized metalwork method.
