Did you know you need a Forestry permit when working near public trees in Columbus? Whether you’re pruning or removing a street tree, planting in the tree lawn (the grassy area between the sidewalk and street) or starting a construction project that could affect a tree, a permit helps ensure our City’s trees are protected.
Columbus’ trees are essential for clean air, shade and stormwater management, and keeping them healthy is key to maintaining a vibrant, green city. The permit is quick to fill out, has no application fee and helps us preserve our urban canopy. Learn more about how you can help. Interested in learning more?
