Be a part of Columbus Recreation and Parks’ 10-Year Vision Plan!
Columbus Recreation and Parks Department is excited to announce the start of our next 10-year Vision Plan: Playbook Columbus. This plan will serve as an innovative roadmap for the future of our recreation programming and services, parks, facilities, trails, waterways and open space planning. We aim to scale Columbus' recreation and parks system equitably, reflecting our City's status as the 14th largest in the United States.
This is a project for our community, and we need the community’s involvement!
As a valued partner, your insights are vital to this process to ensure the Vision Plan meets our community's needs and expectations. Here’s how you can help:

Complete our survey: We’re gathering feedback through an online survey to see what our community needs and wants to see in Columbus' recreation and parks system. The survey takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes and is available in English, Spanish, and Somali. Take the survey by Sept. 30.

Share this information: Talk with your friends, family, community and networks about this project, and encourage them to participate. You can share this email, and we can provide tools such as flyers, posters or digital graphics. We even have a “meeting in a box” you can use to host a conversation yourself! Send us an email to request these resources.

Attend an event: In the coming months, we will host events where the community can share their ideas, including focus groups, neighborhood meetings and a virtual community meeting. Send us an email if you’re interested in attending one of these events and we’ll share the schedule. Also, watch for us at events throughout the City, where we’ll be engaging with the community!
