This Friday, the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center unveils two new exhibits. In the Main Gallery, explore the “Phoenix Rising Printmaking Cooperative Core Member Exhibit: Kindred.” This exhibition showcases the diverse themes of members, all expressed through various techniques rooted in the ancient art of printmaking.
In the Loft Gallery, discover “Armor” by Weiting Wei. This exhibit reflects the transition from girl to mother, symbolized by the acquisition of protective outer layers while, beneath these layers, we become softer and more sensitive, especially in our love for our children.
Visit the opening reception of both exhibits on Friday, Aug. 16, from 6-8 p.m. Enjoy complimentary food and drinks at this free event.
