Check out two new exhibits at the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center!
The Main Gallery features “Untold Myths” by Paul Rienzo. Art has long emerged from myths, with gods, stories and legends from ancient communities depicted through primitive paintings and sculptures. In "Untold Myths," Rienzo's works are inspired by mythical archetypal themes found in stories from around the world.
The Loft Gallery features “Transference: Artwork from the Students in Printmaking.” This exhibit showcases artwork created by Tyson Cultural Arts Center instructors and recent students using printmaking methods. Much like the transfer of knowledge between teacher and student, printmaking involves transferring an image from one surface to another using pressure and ink.
Both exhibits run through Aug. 10.
Join us for the opening reception this Friday, July 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. This free event includes complimentary food and drink.
