Great changes are coming to a park near you, and you can help shape those changes! Here are just a few opportunities to share your feedback about this redevelopment:
- Share your feedback on the master plan for Hauntz Park. This redevelopment will support and complement other parks in the Hilltop neighborhood while creating a re-imagined neighborhood park for nearby residents. A public open house will be held on Nov. 28 at Glenwood Community Center from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- You can also share your input for Willow Creek Park’s redevelopment master plan at an open house on Nov. 30 at the Franklin County Forensic Science Center from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
- A second public open house for Gender Road Park will be held on Dec. 5 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Gender Road Christian Church. Give your feedback on preliminary concepts for Gender Road Park’s master plan. Tomorrow is the last day to share your feedback on the master plan by filling out a short online survey.

Then check out your local community centers, which offer programming for individuals age 50 and older. Programming includes exercise classes, art classes and organized field trips. The latest exhibition coming to the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center's Loft Gallery is “Beauty in the Negative.” Exhibition curators are Beth Zandardelli, a vitreous enamel artist, and Meg Beech, a ceramics sculptor. Their displayed work captures the essence of human reality by juxtaposing our flaws and shortcomings with our unique, individual and one-of-a-kind beauty. ’Tis the season for WinterFest Columbus! This free event features local seasonal craft beer and cocktails, live music, some of Columbus’ best food trucks and lots of outdoor fun! It will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Dorrian Green, 50 S. Belle St., Columbus.
Enjoy live performances by Columbus-based and internationally recognized DJ and producer RJD2, Honey and Blue, George Barrie Band and DJ AXCESS. New this year is a sampling experience featuring five local breweries while supplies last. This family-friendly event will also feature free activities for all ages, such as a mechanical reindeer, a giant inflatable snow globe, cornhole and the playground at Dorrian Green.
