Did you know that Columbus has more than 125,000 street trees? Over the last three years, the location, species and condition of each tree was collected and documented. While inventorying the trees, information about where new street trees could be planted was collected for the first time, and there are 96,000 sites available. Having all of this information in one place will help protect and grow a healthy urban forest.
Reports for all 41 Columbus neighborhoods are now available so you can learn more about the trees in your community. Check out the citywide summary report, as well as the report for your neighborhood!
These efforts are part of the Urban Forestry Master Plan. Read more about what's been accomplished recently!
