Are you interested in learning more about the pollinators around you? Pollinators are species like butterflies or bees that help plants reproduce by moving pollen from one flower to another. Pollinators are very important for conservation and for the environment. You can help us learn more about what pollinators and plants are in the department’s 34 pollinator habitats by joining our pollinator habitat monitoring program!
Using the free iNaturalist app, you can help document the different pollinator and plant species in these habitats. The next pollinator habitat monitoring documentation training will be held on Thursday, Aug. 10, from 6-7 p.m. at Anheuser Busch Sports Park’s south prairie (enter at the south entrance, not the north entrance by the athletic complex) at 4490 Olentangy River Road, Columbus. You should come with your cellphone, have the iNaturalist app downloaded and have already created an account. Register for your spot today!
