Have you visited Glenwood Park? Created in 1914, this 16-acre historic park is located west of downtown Columbus and is a gateway to the Hilltop neighborhood. The park features basketball courts, a playground, outdoor ping pong table, picnic tables, a paved path, shelterhouse and a woods and wildlife area. Eight acres of the park are composed of forest and a wetland. This area is undergoing improvements, including the clearing of dead trees to make room for a loop trail and the removal of invasive honeysuckle.
The site's community center was added in 1916 and has undergone multiple renovations in the last century, with a new building opening in 2016. A newly renovated outdoor pool opened earlier this week and features dual water slides, a dedicated diving pool, a six-lane lap pool, a kiddie pool, an upgraded pool house and sheltered and shaded recreation areas. Learn more about Glenwood Park.
