Media Advisory: Glenwood Pool Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony to Be Held on Tuesday, July 11
COLUMBUS – Columbus Recreation and Parks Department is set to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its Glenwood Pool on Tuesday, July 11, at 2 p.m. Mayor Andrew J. Ginther and Columbus Recreation and Parks Department Director Bernita Reese, M.S., CPRP, will be in attendance at the event.
Glenwood Pool is the second of two renovated pools that opened this summer. Features of the new pool include dual water slides, a dedicated diving pool, a 6-lane lap pool, a kiddie pool, an upgraded pool house and sheltered and shaded recreation areas.
The brief ceremony will include opening remarks from Mayor Ginther and Director Reese. The pool will be open to the public immediately following the remarks, and Mayor Ginther and Director Reese will be available to the media.
