Columbus Recreation and Parks Hosts Seasonal Hiring Fair
COLUMBUS – Columbus Recreation and Parks Department believes its workforce should be reflective of the community it serves and is bringing the hiring process to the people we serve. This removes potential barriers that candidates might face in the application and interview processes.
Candidates interested in summer seasonal part-time work with Columbus Recreation and Parks are invited to the department's second-annual hiring fair.
When: Saturday, March 11, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Where: Franklin Park Adventure Center, 1755 E. Broad St., 43203
What to bring: Copies of your resume
There are positions for many interests and backgrounds, as well as resident-facing and behind-the-scenes opportunities including lifeguards, summer camp counselors, parks maintenance staff, event staff and more.
Part time, seasonal opportunities are available for those age 18 and above are available in areas across the department, including:
- Aquatics
- Building Maintenance
- Business Operations
- Community Centers
- Forestry
- Outdoor Recreation
- Parks
- Rental Services
- Sports
- Therapeutic Recreation
Part time, seasonal opportunities are available to youth, including:

Lifeguards: Ages 15+, starting pay $17/hour

APPS Job Readiness Program: Ages 14-23; Gain practical work experience, training and career pathways with the City and local businesses
