Updates to Lump Sum Settlement policy and procedures

BWC has updated the Lump Sum Settlement policy and procedure.

These updates included revisions to The Settlement Agreement and Application for Approval of Settlement Agreement (C-240) and the Amended Settlement Agreement and Release (C-241). These forms now include language pertaining to incarceration and prosthetics.

It is important to remember when using an electronic signature solution for lump sum settlements, BWC requires the signature solution verification section to be included with all settlement forms.

Over $7K in restitution paid back by business to BWC

The owner of a truck recovery and repair business has paid more than $7,000 in restitution to the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) following a fraud investigation by the agency's Special Investigations Department.
