New! My Provider Info web-based service offering

We’re excited to announce an online service offering exclusively for our providers. The My Provider Info web offering is a confidential tool for providers to view and make updates to their provider demographic information beginning June 4. 

Watch our short introductory video to learn more and see a My Provider Info web offering demo. Gone are the pen and paper days to request demographic changes. 

You can simply log into your e-account and make updates anytime – it’s that easy and convenient; then continue on to view claims data by using the headers at the top of the page.   

My Provider Info

This new offering is our way to confidentially share your provider enrollment information and allow you to make immediate name, address and other demographic updates securely online. Updates made through the web offering go directly into your BWC enrollment record and are available on the Find a Provider lookup.  

Some data updates require supporting documentation, such as a group practice provider updating their doing-business-as (DBA) name and an IRS W9 form must be uploaded (form needs to be pdf format).     

How do I access My Provider Info?    

Log into your e-account by clicking ‘ACCOUNT’ in the upper right corner of our website’s home page, www.bwc.ohio.gov or click the My Provider Info icon from the For Provider page.

If you don’t have an e-account, creating one is easy. Our one-minute video tutorial will walk you through the set-up steps. You must use your federal tax identification number (EIN) or Social Security number from your enrollment record to create an e-account.  Your BWC provider identifier or your national provider identifier (NPI) will not work as these are public, non-secure numbers.

Future My Provider Info enhancements

The online service offering options will increase as we make additional enhancements, and we’ll let you know in future articles when these are available. Our goal is to provide you a web-based product that replaces all our pen and paper processes for provider enrollment and recertification.

New! Transitional Work Grants Enhancements webinars

Thank you for your efforts to help Ohio’s injured workers transition back to work or remain at work. Your contribution matters greatly to the success of our Transitional Work Grant (TWG) program. Based upon stakeholder feedback, we enhanced our TWG program for Ohio employers. Effective June 1, employers are eligible for a TWG every five years, 100% reimbursement up to their approved grant maximum, and COVID-19 services. You play a major role in these enhancements, so we are providing you with two webinars to learn more about them and to ask questions. Transitional work developer classes set for 2021

Are you a case manager, physical or occupational therapist and enjoy working with employers at the job site? If yes, consider becoming a BWC-accredited transitional work grant program developer. Plan to attend our next developer orientation class webinar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, June 17.

 “This class is also open to providers and individuals who want to learn about our remain-at-work and early return-to-work strategies and services for Ohio’s employers,” said Tina Elliott, director of return-to-work services.  

To register for the class, complete the Transitional Work Developer Orientation Application (TWD-15). Fax your application to 614-621-5758 or email it to TWSupport@bwc.state.oh.us. You will then receive an email confirmation of your class registration and class material by mail.

Reaccreditation webinars

It’s time for many BWC transitional work developers to renew their accreditation that expires every two years. If you are unsure if you need to attend a 2021 reaccreditation class, refer to the issue date on your certificate or the list of BWC-accredited transitional work developers on our website.

To renew your accreditation and remain active, you must attend one of our three online training webinars from 1 to 2 p.m., June 24, July 22, and Sept. 23. If your accreditation lapses, you may not submit an employer’s transitional work grant program or request reimbursement until you become re-accredited.

Complete the Transitional Work Developer’s Reaccreditation Application (TWD-116), and indicate your preferred class date in the upper right corner box on the application. Your completed reaccreditation application can be sent via fax or email. Once we receive your application, you will receive an email confirmation of your class registration and webinar instructions.

You play an important role in developing the transitional work grant programs that assist Ohio employers in safely returning their injured employees back to work. We want you to be a valuable member of BWC’s transitional work grant program by providing these valuable services for Ohio employers, please review your certification issue date and register today so your accreditation doesn’t lapse.
