Opioid Awareness Training Program
Did you know construction workers are six to seven times more likely to die of an opioid overdose than workers in other professions? CPWR recently updated its Opioid Awareness Training Program. CPWR designed the program to increase awareness of opioids and decrease the stigma associated with opioid use. Currently consisting of one module, CPWR plans to release a second module this year.

Hours of Service Regulations
New Hours of Service (HOS) rules from the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA) went into effect Sept. 29, 2020. FMCSA developed a free online resource to help drivers understand these new regulations. The system, called Educational Tool for Hours of Service (ETHOS), aids drivers in identifying potential violations.

Testing company Quest Diagnostics released its annual Drug Testing Index™ on the rate of workforce drug positivity. The data reveals a 16-year high rate of workforce drug positivity in 2019. This interactive map shows urine drug test positivity rates by three-digit ZIP code.
