(COLUMBUS,
Ohio) -- Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine is asking for assistance from the public in locating a sexual predator who is wanted for failing to properly
register his address.
Troy Peters,
57, is wanted on a warrant from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office for
failing to verify his address, which he last registered as being on Dempsey
Road in Westerville in 2013.
According to
public records, Peters was convicted of gross sexual imposition in 1987 and was
released from prison in 2008. Records list the victim as a juvenile female.
Peters also had previous address registration violations in 2010 and 2012.
He has a tattoo of a sword, rose, and heart on his right arm and a tattoo of a wizard on his left arm.

whereabouts of Troy Peters should contact their local authorities, the Franklin
County Sheriff's Office, or the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) at

This news release is part of Attorney General Mike DeWine’s Crimes Against Children Initiative. As part of the Crimes Against Children Initiative, Attorney General DeWine will publicize convicted sex offenders who have victimized children and are wanted on outstanding warrants. The initiative also includes the establishment of a Crimes Against Children Unit at BCI, the creation of a rapid response team for crimes against children, and specialized law enforcement training through BCI and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA).
