New inbox added to process for claimant information updates

On December 13, 2024, the Board announced a new process to update claimant information. When a payer receives the Claimant Name and Address Form (Form OC-966), a First Report of Injury (FROI 02) must be submitted to the Board to update a claimant's address in the case file. The FROI 02 will automatically update the claimant’s address field in the case file, overwriting the claimant address information currently in the file.

If the payer has not submitted a FROI 02 in the case within 15 days of receiving Form OC-966, the claimant’s attorney may email OC966@wcb.ny.gov and advise that the case information has not been updated. Do not send anything to the eClaims email address. Please provide the following in your email: 

  • WCB Case ID 
  • A copy of Form OC-966  
  • Date the form was sent to the payer 

Payers who fail to promptly update claimant information after receiving a Form OC-966 may be subject to penalties.
