Important check-in requirements for in-person hearings/appointments in Brooklyn and Manhattan

Starting October 8, 2024, multiple NYS Workers’ Compensation Board offices statewide will be reopening for in-person hearings and services by appointment. For in-person hearings and appointments in Brooklyn and Manhattan, please note and share with your clients:

  • Both the Brooklyn and Manhattan office buildings require an initial check in with building security before the regular check in at the Board office; please allow sufficient time (at least 15 additional minutes) to accommodate this extra process.
  • Only visitors with confirmed, pre-scheduled in-person hearings or appointments are allowed to enter the premises and if they wish to have family members or other guests accompany them, they need to obtain approval for them at the time they make their appointment.
  • All visitors with appointments are required to have a picture identification.

For general information about the Board’s reopening and how to request in-person hearings or appointments, please see the Board’s reopening announcement. For additional details on Board locations, visit the Locations page of our website: wcb.ny.gov/locations.
