Important notice: Deletion of drafted DME PARs with updated HCPCS codes

Important notice: Deletion of drafted DME PARs with updated HCPCS codes

The NYS Workers’ Compensation Board (Board) would like to alert you of an important change regarding the OnBoard system due to a recent update to the Official New York Workers’ Compensation Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Fee Schedule that will affect certain DME prior authorization requests (PARs).

DME PARs currently saved in OnBoard as drafts may contain Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes that have been updated in the DME Fee Schedule and they will automatically be deleted from the Draft eForms tab in OnBoard. This step is necessary to prevent errors within the OnBoard application as HCPCS codes are updated.

If you have any draft DME PARs that include HCPCS codes that were recently updated by the new DME Fee Schedule (effective June 28, 2024), please note that those drafts will be removed from the system on the evening of June 27, 2024.

To proceed with submitting removed DME PARs involving the updated HCPCS codes, you will need to create new DME PARs and submit them in OnBoard.

For more information on the DME Fee Schedule updates, see the recently issued Subject Number, Adoption of Amendment to Section 442.2 of Title 12 of the NYCRR (DME Fee Schedule).

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact OnBoard@wcb.ny.gov
