The Workers’ Compensation Board is thrilled to announce we're live with the next rollout for OnBoard: Limited Release, the first phase of the Board’s new and improved business information system.
OnBoard: Limited Release is moving several important paper-based workers’ compensation processes online, improving accuracy, efficiency and ultimately timeliness of benefits for injured workers. Primary initial users include health care providers, payers and medical suppliers.
Starting today, DME prior authorization requests (PARs) are required to be submitted in OnBoard. DME PARs will be used for requests in accordance with the Board’s new Official New York Workers' Compensation DME Fee Schedule, which also becomes effective today, April 4, 2022.
The DME Fee Schedule lists the DME that may be supplied to an injured worker when medically necessary and in accordance with the applicable New York Medical Treatment Guidelines (MTGs). Information regarding the adoption of this new fee schedule and updates is available on the Regulations page of the Board's website. Full details on the schedule are available on the Durable Medical Equipment Fee Schedule page.
Stay tuned for announcements regarding OnBoard: Limited Release Phase Three, which will be available this May and include prior authorization requests for other medical treatment and testing. Full details, including the rollout schedule, are available on the Board’s OnBoard webpage.
