Welcome to the mid-March edition of Around Town! As we move further into the year, I'm excited to share with you that the Town of Wappinger is buzzing with activity. We’re launching so many new programs, and there are so many exciting events on the horizon that we just had to provide you with an update on all that's happening in our vibrant community.
From recreational opportunities to community initiatives, we’ve been working hard to ensure there's something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you're interested in local events, town improvements, or new resources for our residents, we're committed to making Wappinger a place where everyone feels connected and engaged.

Join us once a month for our new walking group addition! Each month we will explore a new park or trail in the Town of Wappinger! This group is for all ages to encourage the community to come together and enjoy the scenic landscapes in Wappinger. Please meet at location for each walking group. This is a guided walking tour of each place.

Town Recognizes Sparrow's Nest
On March 14, many Wappinger Town Government employees and officials joined residents taking part in "Dress Down Day" to help spread awareness for Sparrow's Nest, a local charity focused on providing homemade meals to families facing a cancer diagnosis.
Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini was proud to declare today, March 14th as “Sparrow’s Nest Day” in the Town of Wappinger and joins the Town Board in encouraging all residents to learn more about this noble organization at sparrowsnestcharity.org

Community Craft Days and Nights Continue to Grow!
Dia duit! (Hello) this week our Parks and Recreation team hosted another craft day at the Senior Center! residents crafted Irish coffee mugs then later that day, we hosted a community craft night for families and residents of all ages to enjoy. Our community is full of talented leprechauns! Sláinte! (Cheers)
