Tax Information Aide positions ($16.75/hour)
Seasonal positions are available in our Returns Processing Center and Personal Income Tax Bureau. These positions begin in January 2023 and end in May 2023. Both full- and part-time positions are available. Available shifts include:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Non-seasonal Tax Information Aide positions are also available in our Contact Center Division at both Schenectady and Albany locations. Available shifts include:
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

We're also continuously recruiting for Auditor 1 (Tax) positions. To qualify for the Auditor Trainee 1 (Tax) exam, you need to have a bachelor’s degree and 24 credits of accounting, auditing, or taxation. If you are a licensed CPA—or have qualifying professional experience or graduate-level credits in accounting, auditing, or taxation—you may qualify to take the Auditor 1 (Tax) exam. Carefully review the minimum qualifications for both exams and select the one that best applies to you.
