Need to pay? You have more choices than ever!
With our payment resource center, you can quickly and easily find options to pay a bill, personal income tax owed with your return, or estimated tax.
Pay directly from your account
With routing and account numbers from a bank or banking services provider, you can:
- pay a bill, tax owed with your return, or estimated tax using your Online Services account; or
- pay a bill or notice without an Online Services account using Quick Pay (individuals only).
Note: We cannot accept electronic payments from bank accounts outside the U.S., even if the bank has branches or offices within the U.S.
Pay by credit or debit card
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. The card service provider we use to process these transactions charges a convenience fee of 2.25% for each card payment.
To learn more about the fee and to read our disclaimer, see Credit and debit card payment information.
We’ll work with you
It’s in your best interest to pay all tax bills in full by the due date to avoid penalty and interest. However, if you can’t pay in full by your due date, help is available. You can request an installment payment agreement (IPA) to make monthly payments toward your unpaid balance.
