The Pass-Through Entity Tax (PTET) Annual Return and Pass-Through Entity Tax (PTET) Extension Web applications for taxable year 2021 will be available in early February 2022. When they’re up, we’ll email you and post alerts to our website.

If you’re an electing entity, you must file an annual PTET return or request an extension using the return or extension application on or before March 15, 2022.

When filing, you must report member, partner, and shareholder information.

  • If you have fewer than 100 members, partners, or shareholders, you have the option to upload or manually enter the information.
  • If you have more than 100 members, partners, or shareholders, you must upload the information.

For the fields and format required for the upload, visit Pass-Through Entity Tax (PTET) Annual Return: Shareholder, member, and partner upload.

For a step-by-step preview of the filing process, watch our Pass-Through Entity Tax Web File demo.

Reminder: Tax professionals can make estimated tax payments, request extensions, and file returns for PTET on behalf of their clients through the Client Summary section of their Tax Professional Online Services accounts.
