Corporation tax
New York C corporation tax returns are due on April 15, 2021, for calendar-year filers. For filing information visit Article 9-A–Franchise tax on general business corporations. Before you file your New York C corporation return, access your Account Summary to verify the balance of estimated tax payments, extension payments, and payments carried forward from a previous tax year.
When you're ready to file, Web File Form CT-400, Estimated Tax for Corporations, directly from your Business Online Services account—for free. Benefits include:
- automatic calculation of amounts due
- scheduled payments (up to the due date)
- instant filing confirmation

Withholding tax
Withholding tax Form NYS-45, Quarterly Combined Withholding, Wage Reporting, and Unemployment Insurance Return, is due on April 30, 2021. You can Web File your withholding tax return using your Business Online Services account.
Additional online services and features
- If you're unable to pay your tax bills in full, you may qualify for an installment payment agreement (IPA). Under the agreement, you'll make monthly payments toward your unpaid tax balance.
- Our Respond to Department Notice online service is the easiest and fastest way to provide the Tax Department with additional information. You’ll receive a timely response to your inquiry (if a response is required) and resolve issues quickly.
Creating a Business Online Services account

Adding users to a Business Online Services account
Business Master Administrators and Users with permissions to manage other Users can add Users to each Online Services account to immediately perform services. A User may be given authorization to use all, or some, of the online services available. Users can be given permissions to:
- manage other Users
- manage tax professionals and
- receive electronic communications
Note: Only Business Master Administrators can update electronic communication preferences on behalf of a User.
