Online services to assist your business—March 2021

Take advantage of the services and convenience your Business Online Services account offers to conduct business with the Tax Department 24/7.

 

Key online services and features

 

  • Access your Account Summary to view detailed filing and payment history. Account Summary for businesses currently provides filing and payment history for corporation tax, sales tax, and withholding tax.
  • Sign up for email alerts within your Online Services account. Once signed up, you'll receive most department notices electronically.
  • Update your business address or phone number, responsible persons (sales tax only), or other business information, using our Business Tax Account Update (DTF-95) application.
    • If you only need to update your business address, use our Business Change of Address application.
    • If you only need to update your sales tax responsible persons, use our Manage Sales Tax Responsible Persons application.

 

Corporation tax services

 

Use your Online Services account to make corporation tax payments or file a corporation tax extension. 

  • Web File form CT-300Mandatory First Installment (MFI) of Estimated Tax for Corporations. MFI payments for all corporation tax calendar-year filers are due March 15, 2021. 
  • Web File Form CT-400Estimated Tax for Corporations, to make a second, third, or fourth installment payment.
  • Not ready to file? Request a corporation tax extension of time to file.

 

Sales tax services

 

Sales tax returns for monthly, quarterly, and annual filers are due March 22, 2021. You can Web File all sales tax forms and schedules through your Business Online Services account.

Creating a Business Online Services account

 

If you don’t already have a Business Online Services account, you can create one at any time. You'll need:

 

  • your taxpayer identification number, and
  • one of the following:
    • your corporation, sales, and withholding tax returns filed within the last 12 months, or
    • confirmation that your business has not yet filed a New York State tax return, or
    • your five-digit PIN sent to you from the Tax Department.
